[HanCinema's News] Distribution Rights Sold for "Noryang: Deadly Sea"

According to a recent press release from the Cannes Film Festival, rights for historical drama "Noryang: Deadly Sea" have been sold across several territories. The final episode of a trilogy of movies about famed Korean admiral Yi Sun-shin, "Noryang: Deadly Sea" will premiere in the North American market via Well Go, Germany via Plaion, Taiwan and other parts of southeast Asia via Movie Cloud, Poland via 9th Plan, and Mongolia via Film Bridge.

Purportedly "Noryang: Deadly Sea" is in the final phases of post-production, and will be released in the South Korean market on December 16th. The movie began filming back in 2021. "Noryang: Deadly Sea" dramatizes the final battle of the Japanese Invasion of Korea in the sixteenth century, which took place in winter of 1598 at the end of a long seven year war. The Cannes Film Festival, as well its film market where the sales took place, will continue until May 24th.
