[Aisha's Take] September Ends With a Banger: K-Drama to Tune into Before October

The year 2023 has brought an array of K-dramas that we loved. Every month we had something exciting to see. September has been no less. We got to see many K-dramas air this month, dramas like "A Time Called You", "The Escape of the Seven", "Moving" and so many more.

Yet. September is not going to bid us farewell just like that! It has brought a new list of K-dramas to join as we jump into the next month. Prepare yourself for more comedy, romance and action!

Here are 3 K-dramas to tune in before October.

"Twinkling Watermelon"

Release date: 25th September 2023

Staring: Choi Hyun-wook, Seol In-ah, Ryeoun and Shin Eun-soo

Genre: Science fiction, comedy, romance

Synopsis:

"Twinkling Watermelon"tells the story of Eun-gyeol (Ryeoun), a child born to deaf parents but can hear sounds. He is the only one blessed with the ability, and so, he becomes a bridge between the silent world of his family and the soundful world. Eun-gyeol became passionate about music at a young age but little did he know the magic it held. He, unknowingly, travels back in time to 1995 a where he meets his parents again...but as teenagers!

 

"Song of the Bandits"

Starring: Kim Nam-gil, Seohyun and Lee Hyun-wook-I

Genre: Historical, Action, Melodrama

Synopsis:

"Song of the Bandits" is a story set in the Japanese colonial period. Many Koreans began to go to Gando, a lawless land in China. Kim Nam-gil plays the role of Lee  Yoon, who served in the Japanese military, but the consequences make him head to Gando. There he meets Nam Hee-shin (Seohyun), who is an undercover section chief in the railway bureau of the Japanese government.

The two find more people like them and join forces. A group of bandits comes together to fight against the Japanese army for South Korea's independence. And they are ready to do anything for their loved ones.

 

"The Worst of Evil"

Release date: 27th September 2023

Starring: Ji Chang-wook, Wi Ha-jun, Woo Kang-min and BIBI.

Genre: Crime, Action

Synopsis:

Set in 1990, Seoul, "The Worst of Evil" tells the story of Park Joo-man (Ji Chang-wook). Park Joo-man is a man with nothing too loose, despite the pain in his past. he strives for success. He takes on a dangerous mission to investigate the Gangnam Alliance and the triangular drug trade between South Korea, China and Japan.
