On November 28, the agency CLN Company said, "Seo Young-joo will enter the training center on the 28th, undergo basic military training, and receive a voluntary deployment to fulfill his defense obligations".

Ahead of his enlistment, Seo Young-joo said, "I've been working steadily since my debut, but I need to go away for a while. As a healthy young man in the Republic of Korea, I will come back after completing my duty of defense in good health", he said.

"I'll come back with good work when I return, so please wait and look forward to it", he said.

Seo Young-joo began his acting career in earnest in 2011 as he attracted attention as the child version of Namkoong Min in MBC's "Can You Hear my Heart". Since then, he has emerged as a screen blue chip by appearing in movies "Juvenile Offender", "The Age of Shadows" and "Snowy Road" as well as showing his strong presence in dramas "Girls' Generation 1979", "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung", "Nobody Knows" and "The Killing Vote".

Seo Young-joo, a trusted and watch actor who has been active in various works regardless of genre, increases expectations for his return to his more mature appearance after completing his duty of national defense.
