[Press Release] CJ ENM's "Monstrous" Set to Thrill Spain at South International Series Festival Premiere

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM announced that its mystery thriller series "Monstrous" has been invited to premiere in the Official Fiction Section at the South International Series Festival in Cádiz.
 
Scheduled to run from October 7 to 12, the South International Series Festival is the first festival held in the southern European region, which was created to promote and boost the international industry and culture of series.
 
Produced by CJ ENM's production powerhouse Studio Dragon in collaboration with Climax Studio and launched as CJ ENM-owned streaming platform TVING's original, "Monstrous" is a captivating mystery story that revolves around archaeologists who unearths a colossal Buddha statue in a quiet rural town. The mayor envisions the statue as a potential tourist attraction, but their discovery sets off a series of cataclysmic events. A centuries-old curse is unleashed, devouring people's souls and transforming them into inhuman beings. The series follows archaeologist Jeong Gi-hoon as he embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind this supernatural phenomenon.

Meanwhile, "Monstrous" was officially screened at the prestigious 5th edition of Canneseries in 2022. The series has also made its debut in six European regions, including France, Monaco, Andorra, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland on "Insomnia", the French SVOD platform.
