PARK Jae-ok wins at Golden Horse fest

Director Park Jae-ok received the Audience award for his short film "Stop" at the award ceremony of the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival 2008, according to the Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF). PARK's 5 minutes short film competed in the Digital short film section.

PARK also won the third prize for "Stop" at this year's 61st Festival de Cannes in the student competition section Cinéfondation. Stop was also invited by Animafest Zagreb 2008's student competition section.

The short film is about a man who experiences that the world comes to a halt when he has to steer away from a truck on the wrong side of the road while he takes his mother to the hospital.

PARK graduated from Seoul University where he majored in Design. He followed it up with studying filmmaking at the Korean Academy of Film Arts(KAFA).
