The opera will be performed on Dec. 8 to 11 in Seoul to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.

Park graduated from Seoul National University and studied at the Juilliard School in New York.

As soon as she was cast for the role of Juliette last summer, Park left New York for Paris to take an intensive French language course and some private lessons at the Opera Bastille.

"My dream came true as I have eagerly wanted to play the role for years", Park said. "I will do my best to nail it".
