[Lily's Take] From A Boy to A Man! Actor Yeo Jin-goo

I've been hearing how good the drama "Circle" was and wanting to watch the drama for a long time already. However, like I mentioned in few other posts, I'm a "Binge-watch-the-whole-season-in-3-days" type of a girl rather than the "Patiently-wait-for-the-new-episode-every-week" type.

As I started watching "Circle", I was surprised to discover how well Yeo Jin-goo turned out to be! In my mind, he was always a brilliant child actor, but now he is taking a role of a college student.

Since he started acting early on in his life, his acting skill is outstanding. Even the producer of the drama praised highly on Yeo Jin-goo's capability.

Actor Yeo Jin-goo started acting in 2005 at age 9. He played many famous actors' childhood, starting from actor Jo In-sung in the movie "A Frozen Flower" to actor Ju Ji-hoon in the movie "Antique". From the very first role he got, the viewers knew that this little boy will turn out to be an outstanding actor.

His most memorable acting as a childhood character would be the sweet romance with actress Kim Yoo-jung in "The Sun and the Moon". Just the other day, I was watching the drama again and cried my eyes out when Yeo Jin-goo was crying over Kim Yoo-jung. I'm still waiting for this beautiful couple to reunite in some other drama as adults.

Also, in the drama "Missing You", he played the childhood of the actor Park Yoo-chun and played a sweet romance with actress Kim So-hyun. Their romance was so refreshing, dressed in school uniform.

In the drama "Orange Marmalade", he played another heart fluttering romance with actress Seolhyun, who played a vampire character.

When he took a lead role in the movie, "Hwayi : A Monster Boy", veteran actor Kim Yun-seok praised ever highly on Yeo Jin-goo, saying that he is an actor with limitless potential. Funny story, since the movie was Rated-R, Yeo Jin-goo couldn't watch the movie until he became a legal age.

In the drama "Jackpot", his character was such a mature, charismatic character, that everyone forgot the fact Yeo Jin-goo is only a high schooler in real life whenever he is acting.

He dedicated his life into acting since young age and diligently built his career with many dramas and movies. As he became an adult, he met the movie "Warriors of the Dawn" this year and completely shed his child actor image with this movie.

Because of his image from all the serious roles he played, you might have a misconception that he is somewhat stern and even humorless, but he is actually quite entertaining and witty. When he appeared in the variety show, "My Little Television", everyone was delighted to see his hilarious side with childlike innocence.

There's no rest for this diligent, hard-working actor! He is in yet another drama with actress Lee Yeon-hee in "Reunited Worlds".

His filmography is unbelievable for someone born in 1997. That is why actor Yeo Jin-goo is acknowledged as one of the best actor in his 20's right now. We will continue to cheer on for this talented, down-to-earth actor's bright future!
