Lee Se-young Vs Kim You-jung on Friday-Saturday Battle

While actresses Lee Se-young and Kim You-jung simultaneously faced off in a Friday-Saturday drama, "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" won.

Lee Se-young and Kim You-jung played the main roles of MBC's "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" and SBS's "My Demon", respectively. Both works were first broadcast on the 24th, and two former child actors drew attention as the main characters. The subject matter also drew attention even before it aired, dealing with contract marriage romance.

According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research firm, the ratings for the first and second episodes of "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" rose to 5.6% and 5.9%. "My Demon" fell slightly to 4.5% in the first and 3.4% in the second. From the first broadcast, "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" announced a good start, raising curiosity about whether "My Demon" will be able to reverse this.

Lee Se-young once again appeared in an MBC historical drama following "The Red Sleeve" which ended in January last year. Not only did "The Red Sleeve" achieve a beautiful ending with 17.4% of viewership, but it also gave Lee Se-young the grand prize in the miniseries category of the 2021 MBC Acting Awards.

"The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" shows the process of Park Yeon-woo, a hot girl who suddenly lost her husband on the first night of her wedding, waking up again in the 21st century and marrying a bachelor Kang Tae-ha under a contract. It is based on the Naver web novel of the same name, "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" (writer Kim Neoul). Lee Se-young plays Park Yeon-woo, the fake bride of Tae-ha, the No. 1 original daughter of Hanyang. In the second episode, she drew attention with her kiss scene with Bae In-hyuk as well as going back and forth between the past and the present.

Kim You-jung returned to SBS drama following "Lovers of the Red Sky" which ended in 2021. Kim You-jung, who returned to the small screen after about two years, will give viewers excitement with a different fantasy.

"My Demon" is a thrilling action drama depicting the romance and heterogeneous cohabitation between a chaebol heiress, Do Do-hee, and Goo-won, a demon who loses his ability overnight. Choi Ah-il, the writer of the drama "Mr. Queen" and director Kim Jang-han from "Do You Like Brahms" joined hands. Kim You-jung, who plays Do Do-hee, a chaebol heiress in the play, led the play's immersion with her extraordinary acting skills. Visual chemistry with Song Kang is also a key point to watch.

"The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" and "My Demon" will air every Friday at 9:50 PM and 10 PM, respectively.
