According to FNC Entertainment, Kim Seo-ha-I takes on the role of Chang-woon, Hwi's (Park Eun-bin) uncle.

"The King's Affection" is a royal romance that depicts a child born as a twin and abandoned only because she is a girl, who becomes a crown prince through the death of her brother, the prince's death. It is based on a cartoon with the same name by Lee So-young. It stars Park Eun-bin as prince Lee Hwi and Rowoon as Jeong Ji-woon, Hwi's teacher.

Kim Seo-ha-I's role of Chang-woon is the troublemaker of the royal family who takes advantage of his status and he's impulsive and aggressive. He isn't afraid to get blood on his hands, adding tension to the play.

Kim Seo-ha-I expressed his gratitude through his agency saying, "I am grateful to be able to work. I'm excited to play a different character in "The King's Affection". It's my first sageuk so I have a lot to learn from horseback riding and martial arts but I'm having fun. I enjoy thinking about the people at the time while studying my role. I am working very hard to prepare for my character".

"The King's Affection" premieres in the latter half of the year.
