[HanCinema's News] Lee Zoo-young Talks About "Missing Yoon"

At a recent press conference for "Missing Yoon" leading actress Lee Zoo-young had some choice comments about her role in the road trip movie, where she plays a YouTuber going on a trip with her cover singer mother to locate a legendary musician known by the latter. Lee Zoo-young noted that when she first read the script, she noted the unusual tension created by her character being a YouTuber. Lee Zoo-young stated that these frank and humans dimensions only increase in the latter parts.

Lee Zoo-young particularly emphasized how the script noted the isolation and sadness which this highlighted in the conclusion of her character's emotional arc. Lee Zoo-young theorized that her character, in seeking recognition and interest from YouTube, was actually seeking recognition and interest from her mother. Lee Zoo-young thought this added a critical emotional dimension to the story which she did her best to portray onscreen.

Lee Zoo-young also emphasized that she underwent a fair amount of special training in order to effectively embody her role as a YouTuber. She claimed that a fellow YouTuber in "Missing Yoon" were in fact the YouTuber she trained with in order to best understand the mental process behind becoming a YouTuber. Such training also involved learning the proper way to twerk. Lee Zoo-young credited the YouTuber with demonstrating for her the proper energy necessary for the role.
