According to kakaoTV original "Once Upon a Small Town" on the 23rd, Choo Young-woo plays Han Ji-yool, a native veterinarian in Seoul.

"Once Upon a Small Town" is a chaotic country romance that unfolds when Han Ji-yool, a Seoul veterinarian who suddenly ends up in Heedong-ri, a rural village, meets Ahn Ja-yeong, a rural police officer. It is based on the popular web novel "Once Upon a Small Town".

Along with the romance between the two against the backdrop of green nature, the joys and sorrows of the pure and human Heedong-ri people will be depicted. The drama will be directed by Kwon Seok-jang, who also worked on "Bossam: Steal the Fate", "Miss Korea" and "Pasta".

Choo Young-woo plays the role of Han Ji-yool, a bad-tempered veterinarian from Seoul who is full of feistiness from head to toe. Han Ji-yool is a principleist who is not very interested in others and wants to live well for himself. For Han Ji-yool, the daily life that suddenly begins in Heedong-ri, where the people are busybodies, is not easy. Moreover, unlike himself, who is indifferent to people, he meets Ahn Ja-yeong, a police constable who claims to be a 'Heedong-ri insider', and his forgotten emotions will come to life and experience daily changes little by little.

Choo Young-woo said, "I usually look up dramas set in the countryside, and I'm looking forward to participating in this work because I have a personal desire for rural life".

"It's an honor to be with good staff and colleagues. As I play the role of Han Ji-yool, a veterinarian at an animal hospital, I am thoroughly preparing for my character. I will focus on Ji-yool's story and do my best to prepare for it", he added.

A total of twelve episodes of "Once Upon a Small Town" will be produced as mid-form dramas for about 30 minutes each episode, and will be released in the second half of this year.
