Disney+ announced on the 29th that it will release "Tempest" sometime next year.

"Tempest" tells the story of Moon-joo (Jun Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a diplomat and former ambassador to the United States, digging into the hidden truth with San-ho (Gang Dong-won), a special agent of unknown nationality.

It was selected as a highly anticipated film for a long time. In addition to the stellar cast, the script will be written by Jeong Seo-kyeong, who has worked with director Park Chan-wook for a long time in movies including "Decision to Leave", "The Handmaiden", and "Thirst". Kim Hee-won-II, director of tvN's "Queen of Tears", "Little Women" and "Vincenzo", will direct. Heo Myung-haeng, director of the movie "The Roundup: Punishment", was named as co-director.

Expectations are high as many screen-oriented movie stars are entering OTT series. Gang Dong-won is appearing in his first drama in 20 years since SBS's "Magic" aired in 2004. Jun Ji-hyun, who is also a co-starter, is also appearing in a TV series for the first time in three years since tvN's "Jirisan". Other than that, Song Kang-ho recently made his first appearance in a drama on Disney+'s "Uncle Sam-sik". Director Han Jae-rim was challenged to direct his first series on Netflix's "The 8 Show".
