JYP Entertainment, the group's management agency, said Monday that TWICE's new Japanese single "Wake Me Up" is due out on May 16. The dance song encourages people not to give up and keep going forward.

The group debuted in Japan with the album "#TWICE" in June last year, followed by the first single "One More Time" in October and the second, "Candy Pop", in February this year. They sold over 100 million copies of their albums in just eight months after their debut there, going on to win five awards at the Japan Gold Disc Awards in February, a milestone for a rookie group.

TWICE, meanwhile, will embark on their second Asia tour, which kicks off in Seoul from May 18 through 20. They will stage shows in Saitama, Japan on May 26-27 and Osaka on June 2-3 before moving on to other Asian countries including Malaysia and Singapore.
