TV Actor Song Il-kook, Singer Jang Nara to Work as China's PR Envoys

TV actor Song Il-kook and singer Jang Nara will publicize Chinese culture as China's official PR ambassadors.
Song and Jang will be commissioned to work as PR ambassadors for China at the Chinese Culture Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul on August 8. The ceremony will be attended by Chinese Culture Minister Sun Jiazheng (孫家正), Chinese Ambassador to Seoul Li Bin (李濱) and other dignitaries, including the assistant culture minister of China.
A person close to Song Il-kook said, "We accepted the proposal from the Chinese Culture Center in Seoul in May. Song may have been recommended as the PR ambassador of China because of the favorable response to his part in KBS TV2's drama entitled 'Terms of Endearment,' which was aired throughout China via Chinese Central TV".
Song Il-kook will work as PR ambassador of China together with Jang Nara, who has already been working as a PR ambassador of China since last year. The website of the Chinese CultureCenter in Seoul has already opened a "cyber cafe on PR ambassadors" featuring Song and Jang.
