Judy Ahn, Showbox's Head of International Business Department, told MyungMin International that Taiwan's Catchplay has bought the rights to screen the latest Kim Myung-min flick. However, since the movie is currently in post-production and has not yet been released in Korea, it is still not known when the movie will be shown in Taiwan.

Catchplay was also responsible for showing Kim Myung-min's last two movies, "Man of Vendett"a (2010) and "Closer to Heaven" (2009), to the Taiwanese audience.

"Detective K" tells about the adventures of Joseon's great detective (Kim Myung-min) and his sidekick (Oh Dal-soo) as they try to solve a mystery about a series of the murders taking place in 18th century Korea. During their investigation, they make the acquaintance of a charismatic businesswoman (Han Ji-min), a central figure in the case who helps them uncover a massive conspiracy that will shock the nation.

The film helmed by veteran comedy director Kim Seok-yoon, and it will be released in Korea in January 27.
