"Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" wins Best Picture Award

The movie "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" by director Park Chan-wook (produced by Moho Film) won the Best Picture and Best Actress Award (Lee Young-ae) at the 26th Blue Dragon Award Ceremony held Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. at the KBS hall in Yeouido, Seoul.

The Best Actor award went to Hwang Jung-min for his role in "You are My Sunshine!", while the Best Director award went to the movie's director, Park Jin-pyo.

The movie "Welcome to Dongmakgol" won the award for drawing the largest number of viewers in the history of Korean movies as well as awards for Best Supporting Actor (Im Ha-ryong) and Best Supporting Actress (Kang Hye-jung).

The Best New Actor award went to Chun Jung-myung for his role in "The Aggressives", while the Best New Actress award was won by Kim Ji-soo for her role in "This Charming Girl".

Chung Yoon-chul, who directed "Marathon", won the Best New Director award. The movie "Duelist" won the best art and lighting awards.
