"Shall We Kiss First" was about characters changing thanks to love. The chemistry between the cast definitely did most of the work and Kam Woo-sung and Kim Sun-a's teamwork stood out with every episode.

However, anxiousness followed with the set up of Moo-han being a terminally ill person who could die anytime. The viewers wanted him to stay alive.

In the final episode, Moo-han struggled in pain alone after Soon-jin went to work. Soon-jin had said she wanted to live with Moo-han just 3 more years. The next day, Soon-jin woke up to say 'good morning' to Moo-han, but he didn't answer. She cried and woke him up and he opened his eyes to say 'good morning' to her, too. The drama ended with Soon-jin saying, "He's still alive".

The drama ended with some hope and the viewers leave the future up to Moo-han and Soon-jin.
