Seung-ho lied to Tae-seok that Hyeon-wook (Shin Jae-ha) was the actual criminial of the hit and run case, as he felt he was being pressured as a suspect of the hit and run case. When Tae-seok asked Seung-ho if everything he said was true, Seung-ho did not hesitate and confirmed it's all true.

When Seung-ho realized he had no other choice left, he made up his past completely telling all the lies he could think of. Tae-seok did not say anything further.

Tae-seok submitted his resignation letter to Chan-moo (Jeon No-min) because he wanted to be responsible for the case of Sin Yeong-jin (Lee Ki-woo). However, Chan-moo returned the resignation letter to him and Tae-seok accepted his decision.

Tae-seok said, "These days, I often think that coincidence may be a part of a plan by god. Even though I don't know the result, but I can tell you this for sure. I'm going to stop doing things I'll regret later".

Tae-seok later went to Detective Kim and told him he was going to register a petition for a retrial of the Huimang Super murder case, which menat he wanted to become a defense lawyer for Kwon Myeong-soo (Jung Young-ki).
