The Japanese media is paying keen attention to Korean actor Song Seung-heon, who is to be discharged from the military in November.

Sansports.com said that the event will be held to mark the discharge of Song, with some 10,000 fans coming from seven Asian countries including Korea, Japan, China and Singapore. A fan meeting will be held on the first day and a special concert featuring singers who sang the title songs of the actor's dramas will be staged on the second day.

The online newspaper said that Song is the last major Korean celebrity to not have officially visited Japan, and that some 10,000 members have already joined his official Japanese homepage which was launched on July 19.

According to Sanspo.com, the Korean actor expressed his gratitude for his Japanese fans and said that he would visit Japan in the near future through a voice message that was exclusively acquired by the Japanese newspaper.
