Son Hyun-joo Named Best Actor at Moscow Film Festival

Son Hyun-joo won the best actor award at the Moscow International Film Festival for his performance in "Ordinary Person".

The festival, one of the four major international film festivals, marked its 39th year this year and took place last week.

The film, directed by Kim Bong-han, is set in 1987 during the military rule of Chun Doo-hwan. Son plays a police officer embroiled in a plot devised by the country's national security agency.

The film, which hit theaters here in March, also received the NETPAC award for best Asian feature.
