During his interview in JTBC "News Room", Kim Chang-wan said "It was a mistake", when anchorman Sohn Suk-hee mentioned about the villain role in the movie, "Doctor".

He explained, "I've already talked about it several times before. I basically threw the scenario when I saw it because it was very very absurd. But I again thought, while they must have been holding onto this scenario for one or two years, I cannot just toss it away after reading if for five minutes only. So I picked it up again and said 'let's find out the mentality of the people who try to make this movie'. So I said I'd do it. That was the only reason".

When Sohn Suk-hee asked him, "Were you able to find out their mentality", Kim Chang-wan said, "Yes, I did. They wanted to make money, not just to make money, but steal money from (viewers). Just full of that idea only".

Sohn Suk-hee mentioned, "If you say so, wouldn't it be rude to the people you worked with". Kim Chang-wan responded candidly, "No, because it's true. It was true. If you look around, there are a lot of meaningful movies socially and artistically. But You'll also find some of them aren't. Aha, so this is so called commercialism. I learned the lesson".
