The comedy is about a widow in her 70s who is about to be sent a nursing home, but things take a turn for the surreal when she wakes up one day in the body of her 20-year-old self, thus allowing her to relive her youth.

Sim, who will turn 20 in May, has been praised for the apparent ease with which she has handled the complex role. Although she appears talkative and outgoing in "Miss Granny", the actress comes across as being much more shy and reserved in person.

"I'm very shy when I meet strangers. I prefer sending text messages to making phone calls. I guess I'm an introvert, but I'm quite open with people I'm close to", she said.

"It was very hard for me to portray such an old woman, so I tried to focus on the role, and I thought a lot about my mom during the shoot. I'd like to dedicate this film to her", she added.

Sim is currently mulling her next project and keeping the door open to new or challenging roles that she has never tried before.

"I'd like to play a trendy 20-something, or take on a very serious role to show a whole new side of me", she said, adding that she harbors dreams of stepping into the director's chair one day.
