Several celebrities named spokespersons for Life Ethics Committee

Actors Ahn Sung-ki, Im Hyun-sik and Yang Mi-kyung, singers JK Kim Dong-wook and Booby Kim, and announcer Kang Su-jeong have been named spokespersons for the Life Ethics Committee.

The committee supports stem cell research using the 10-billion-won donation from the Seoul Catholic Archdiocese headed by Archbishop Chung Jin-suk. The diocese also designated Dec. 4 the "Day of Life" and held a special mass at the Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul to raise awareness about the value of life. The mass also featured a ceremony to appoint the spokespersons.

On the evening of that same day, the concert entitled "Night of Life" was held at Dongseong High School in Hyehwa-dong, Seoul. The performers included Hwi-sung, Chang Woo-hyuk, Seo Ji-young, Coyote, JK Kim Dong-wook, Lee So-eun and Bobby Kim.

Archbishop Chung Jin-suk and the Peace Broadcasting Company choir jointly performed the song "Love".

JK Kim Dong-wook said he has always been concerned about people suffering from incurable diseases but had no opportunity to help them. He added that he is willing to do everything he can to help terminally-ill patients.
