Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF) now accepts entries to its official competition

The SICAF Committee (Organization Committee Chair: Shim Sang-gi) announced that it is now accepting animation works for the SICAF 2006 competition, which will be held on May 24-28, with the theme "Dream in Full Bloom and Lots of Fun".

Any animation work created after January 1, 2006, regardless of its genre, can be submitted. The competition categories are full-feature animation, short animation, TV and commission, and Internet animation.

A total of 50 million Korean won will be given away as cash prizes, 10 million of which will go to the winner in the full-feature category.

Last year's SICAF competition had 846 animated film entries from 77 countries. Those who would like to submit their works for evaluation by the SICAF Secretariat will please go to the SICAF Web site (www.sicaf.org) and download the application form from there.

Submit a videotape of your work for screening purposes, together with the accomplished application form, not later than February 20, 2006.
