Actor Seo In-guk recently wrapped up a TV series in which he displayed the full spectrum of his acting skills, impressing viewers with his portrayal of an endearing and pure-hearted young man.

Despite its formulaic, fairytale-like story, "Shopping King Louis" won the hearts of many viewers, who were gripped by the love that develops between a young rich man and a country girl.

The romantic comedy's popularity can be attributed in large part to Seo's winning performance.

The versatile Seo, who made his singing debut in 2009 as a contestant on an audition program and has since matured into an accomplished actor, plans to start his mandatory military service next year.

"I'm already excited about the changes this new challenge in my life will bring", he said.
