Rain to Perform with Alan Tam in Shanghai

Singer Rain will present awards as well as perform at the 2nd China Academy Music Awards to be held in Shanghai on May 22 at 7 p.m. His "rival" will be Alan Tam, a Hong Kong-born star who is famous in the Chinese-speaking region and will also perform and present at the ceremony.

Other performers will include Japanese star Tamimura Sindy and Taiwanese star Han Hong.

As a representative of Korea, Rain will perform on stage for eight minutes, unlike other artists, who will only sing one or two songs each. Rain was allotted the longest time at another Chinese music award ceremony back in March as well. At this show he will perform "It's Raining", "Bad Guy" and "Instead of Saying Good-bye".

The China Academy Music Awards is held by the Oriental Television Station, an affiliate of the Shanghai Media Group, the largest media company in Shanghai. The ceremony is broadcast live throughout China. Rain, who is currently resting and receiving vocal training in the U.S., will fly to China on the day of the ceremony on May 22.
