Kim Sung-min's 8th Death Anniversary

It has been eight years since the late actor Kim Sung-min passed away.

Kim Sung-min ended his short life on June 26th, 2016, when he was diagnosed with brain death. He was 43.

The bereaved family decided to donate the organs at the will of Kim Sung-min, who expressed his intention to donate organs while he was alive. His kidneys, liver, and cornea were donated. As a result, the deceased presented a new life to five patients.

Kim Sung-min, who debuted as an advertising model in 1991, made his name known through the MBC drama "Miss Mermaid" and played a role in "King Flower Fairy", "Fantastic Couple", and "My Wife is a Superwoman".

He was arrested in 2010 on charges of administering methamphetamine and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison and suspended for four years. He remarried in 2013 to announce his new start. However, he was released from prison in January 2016 after serving 10 months in prison after being charged with administering methamphetamine again in 2015 but ended his own life.
