PiFans NAFF It Project 2013: Call for Submissions

After its ambitious debut in 2008 and the splendid success of past five years, Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF), Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan)s industry initiative, seeks prospective films and filmmakers from all over the world for the 6th edition of It Project.

It Project is the worlds first-ever exclusive project market for genre films, which aims to discover promising genre films and provides a wide range of co-production and funding opportunities. Since its launch, it has impressed the global film industry and media as a fresh and vital film business program with over 300 active network meetings taking place for its participants.

It Projects official selections have possessed a brilliant imagination and unique perspective ranging from horror, thriller, fantasy, black comedy, action to sci-fi, as well as animation such as 2010 participant THE King of Pigs. Some of the completed projects have been invited to a number of film festivals worldwide including Cannes, Berlin, SXSW, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Edinburgh, Sitges, Tokyo, and have also won awards at Venice, Tallin Black Nights, Busan, India, Costa Rica, Jameson Dublin, Beloit, and many more. Numerous other projects from 2008 to 2012 are currently in production, post-production or awaiting theatrical runs nationally and internationally.

Aside from travel and accommodation offer for its participants, cash awards and post-production supports are also presented to selected outstanding projects.

It Project 2013 takes place from 21st to 24th July in Bucheon, Korea, as part of NAFF, PiFan.

NAFF Project Spotlight 2013 to Focus Southeast Asia Once More

In the mean time, this years Project Spotlight, another NAFF industry program that selects a specific country each year and showcases its genre film projects highlighting the latest trend of its genre film industry, will explore the possibilities of projects from the Philippines, following last years Indonesia.
