According to broadcasters on the 25th, SBS' Monday-Tuesday drama "Joseon Exorcist", which has recently been in controversy for distorting real characters and using Chinese props and costumes, eventually decided to end. It seems that it decided that it could no longer continue production due to criticism over distortion of history and withdrawal of support from advertisers.

In this regard, director Sin Kyeong-soo reportedly said, "The abolition has not been confirmed", and that "There will be a meeting, and the results will be released tomorrow morning".

"Joseon Exorcist" was embroiled in a controversy over history distortion in the first broadcast on the 22nd, which included the brutal slaughter of innocent people by King Taejong. In addition, when Prince Chungnyeong (Jang Dong-yoon), who becomes King Sejong, served Western exorcists in a pub, the problem was that Chinese dumplings, Chinese liquor, Chinese mooncakes, and Chinese duck eggs were placed. It is pointed out that although the background of the drama is the Joseon Dynasty, Chinese styles such as buildings, food, and table shapes were used.

Production companies YG Studioplex, CRAVEWORKS, Lotte Culture Works and SBS announced that they would release an apology and reorganize the work through a week of cancellation along with the modification of the scene. However, it has become impossible to continue broadcasting in reality as advertisers and local governments withdraw production support and criticism has not subsided.
