[Orion's Drama News] Love Doesn't Hurt, but Dramas Do

Prepare for fear, love and sadness in all forms, because we need a good scare and a good cry once in a while. Or, in the case of this upcoming week, a good scare and a good cry several times in seven days. Join me in picking your poison, or splurge on several.

I'm not Crying, My Eyes are in Emotional Pain

I'll one day have romantic fluff for you again, but if you enjoy tears and pain, I am here to provide. On the 21st we have the premiere of "Children of Nobody", which has a new poster, joined by "The Last Empress", which has a new teaser. Children in agony and terrible families will be a nice start to the week. If hating is more your thing, you'll get to meet the terrible elite of "SKY Castle" on the 23rd, before experiencing more suffering children in "A Pledge to God" on the 24th. If you don't like your suffering child- or family-oriented only, "Priest" has some for everyone. Don't say I never gave you anything.

Carry-on Romance

What I thought would be a standard story of a rich heiress and a cutesy layman seems to carry more dramatic weight, as "Encounter" feels like a slow burn to something potentially promising. It always depends on the creators' intent, as a simple premise can be hiding a meaningful approach to it. The series has released a lonely teaser of Song Hye-kyo's heroine, which is joined by more videos focusing on her and Park Bo-gum. The posters and videos out are nothing breathtaking, but I hope that the romance itself will handle said taking of the breath.

Upcoming Drama Goodies

"Less Than Evil" drops a stylish teaser and a set of posters, and "Just Dance" brings its own lovely style. "Clean with Passion for Now" has new teasers and a poster, while we get a first look at Yeo Jin-goo in "The Crowned Clown". "Fates and Furies" drops a first look teaser and poster, and "Hymn of Death" introduces its tragic romance. "Romance is a Bonus Book" has script reading news, and Park Gyu-young is on board. In other casting news, "Farming Academy" has its farmers, "Liver or Die" its family, and "Spring Turns to Spring" its main line-up, while Jo Bok-rae signs on for "Different Dreams".

Followed Dramas

I'm not saying I marathoned "Ms. Ma, Nemesis" until 9 in the morning last "night", but I actually am. Typical twist to the mystery aside, I'm loving the drama, and I'm loving "Feel Good To Die" as well. I'll need to kill some darlings for more drama watching room again, but I will be in denial of that need for as long as possible.
