[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Yoo Jae-myung and Ji Soo Bond Over Love Woes in Upcoming Drama "Ping Pong Ball"

If you don't have enough Yoo Jae-myung in your "Life" these days (yes, I just did that), then get ready for some more of him in jTBC's upcoming two-part project "Ping Pong Ball", where he reunites with Ji Soo in a world-weary bromance of kindred souls. The series has made its peek-a-boo with script reading stills.

"Ping Pong Ball" is a unique buddy drama about a young university student and a mysterious homeless person bonding through their struggles and experiences with unfulfilled past loves. It is based on a webtoon by Jo Geum-san, whose previous work, "Out of the World", was the basis for OCN drama "Save Me". This makes me extremely interested in it.

Yoo Jae-myung plays Kim Deuk-hwan, the mysterious homeless man living under a bridge near an apartment building complex. Ji Soo joins him, following their collaboration in "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon", as Kim  Yeong-joon, an emotionally oppressed student of philosophy. I can already hear the tiny violins crying the melody of their joint man-pain.

The script reading was attended by PD Kim  Sang-ho ("Age of Youth"), 2017 jTBC Drama Writing Contest winner writer Park  Ji-won, actors Yoo Jae-myung, Ji Soo, Choi Kwang-il, Lee Ha-yul, Seo Dong-gab, Jung Young-ki and more. "Ping Pong Ball" will premiere in September.
