[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Park Byung-eun Joins Choi Kang-hee, Kwon Sang-woo for "Queen of Mystery Season 2"

Bring them back! Bring them all back! Actor Park Byung-eun ("Because This Is My First Life", "The Mayor") has been confirmed to reprise his role as Chief Inspector Woo Seong-ha for the second season of "Queen of Mystery". This makes him the third confirmed name for "Queen of Mystery Season 2" aside from the two leads, Choi Kang-hee and Kwon Sang-woo.

His addition makes me very happy for several reasons. I think the man is a good actor and he is enjoyable to watch perform, but we also didn't get to see a lot of him in the first season. His personal story and turn from presumed antagonist to ally were an interesting part of the series and the chief inspector's skills seem like quite the advantage for a rookie mystery solver and a slightly oblivious detective.

For me personally, it's also an indication that the creators are trying to get all these beloved characters back. Of course I'm all for new faces and fresh cases, but one thing I love about the first season is its colorful characters and the great chemistry of a very likable main and supporting cast. I want to see everyone again, so I hope we get as many back as possible.

"Queen of Mystery Season 2" is currently scheduled to follow "Black Knight - 2017" in February and I'll be on it, its news and promotional goodies like a hawk.
