[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Namkoong Min May Return With Drama "The Undateables"

If you need more Namkoong Min in your life, then there may be some great news in the horizon. The actor is considering upcoming drama "The Undateables", which would bring him back to the romantic comedy genre once more. Because let's face it, we all need more Namkoong Min in our lives.

The series is about a handsome guy well versed in the theory of love, and a woman named Jung-eum, whose ultimate goal in life is to fall in love and get married. Namkoong Min's agency, 935 Entertainment, has stated that there is no confirmation yet, and that the actor is simply reviewing the work proposed to him.

Standard reply for overly eager media and productions aside, this sounds like a great role for Namkoong Min. He is a versatile actor whose well rounded skills and charisma can carry works of various genres and tones, from the melodramatic to the downright hilarious. This sounds like the latter, so I'd love to see him accept, assuming that the creators can use him well.

"The Undateables" is written by Lee Jae-yoon-IV, who has worked on films such as "Venus and Mars" and "Red Carpet", as well as drama "Tamra, the Island". I only have experience with "Venus and Mars", which was admittedly one big mess, so I can't say I'm feeling it right now. I will hold onto hope due to the maybe-casting news, however.

The drama is set to follow "Switch - Change The World" on SBS in May.
