[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter" Releases Quirky Family Portrait Posters

I've seen my share of odd families in Dramaland, but we're about to witness something truly fresh with "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter". The drama is graciously preparing us in the form of new posters teasing its heroine's family relations, and the fantasy element of their nature in a cute, inspired way.

What we have here is a perfectly normal family consisting of a fairy who has been waiting for her husband for 699 years (Go Doo-shim/Moon Chae-won), her daughter reincarnated as a tiger who has learned how to assume human form (Kang Mina), the egg that will be the fairy's son, and two men (Yoon Hyun-min, Seo Ji-hoon), one of whom may be her reincarnated husband. Her words on the poster read "My Woodcutter disappeared 699 years ago. Who is my husband?" Perfectly. Normal.

The story tells the tale of this fairy, but there is so much more around her. I have only skimmed through some parts the webtoon "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter" is based on, but its world seems rich and captivating, so seeing the drama play that up is promising. I love me some fine world building and a colorful cast of characters.

Korean drama loves the fantasy genre, but I often find its lore lacking, so this will hopefully be a story packed with it. "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter" will premiere on November 5th on tvN, and I'm cautiously optimistic.
