"Mystic Pop-Up Bar" is a counseling drama about a bad-tempered owner lady and her innocent part-time worker who resolve the grudges of customers in their dreams. It is based on a webtoon of the same name by Bae Hye-soo, who earned a perfect score of 10 from readers. Hwang Jung-eum, Yook Sung-jae, Choi Won-young, Lee Joon-hyuk-I and Jung Daeun have personally told why viewers should head to street pubs prior to the release of "Mystic Pop-Up Bar", which received attention from webtoon fans and prospective viewers before the show.

◆ 'Dream world' tension by totally new characters

"There have been no characters like this in the history of dramas". In addition to Wol-joo (Hwang Jung-eum), who enters the dreams of many people and solves their stories, there are Han Kang-bae (Yook Sung-jae), a part-timer with a special charm to let anyone spill the beans to him with a single touch, Chief Gwi (Choi Won-young), a former chief of the elite criminal division at the National Police Agency in the other world, but currently the manager of the mystic pub, Yeom (Lee Joon-hyuk-I), an Angel of Death with curly hair dressed in white, and Kang Yeo-rin (Jung Daeun), a security guard at the supermarket who has a strange power to push away men. Although Wol-joo has a tough personality and rarely comes forward unless it's beneficial to her performance, she becomes emotionally engaged when she meets a customer full of stories. The tension that the actors and actresses will create while going back and forth between this world and the world of dreams, is also a special fun point for "Mystic Pop-Up Bar".

◆ Empathic episodes that add audiovisual fun to the emotion of the original

The name of the pub means 'you and I'. It means looking at the other person from the same eye-level. This is where fans of the original were touched, and the drama differentiates itself from the original by adding more episodes and venting spite. Like Lee Joon-hyuk-I, who says, "There's a heartwarming story for many different perspectives" and Hwang Jung-eum's explanation, "It's about all of our lives", there will be a variety of empathic episodes that resemble the stories of someone we know, such as an office worker suffering from his boss's abuse, a job seeker who has no choice but to become inferior and a customer with an unspeakable past. The fun visuals are added to this. As already known, the production team of "Mystic Pop-Up Bar" ended filming in February and has been concentrating on the second half of the work to improve its post-production quality.

◆ Modern day good beats evil

On particularly exhausting days, one thinks of delicious food and drinks to go with it. That's what "Mystic Pop-Up Bar" is here for. At "Mystic Pop-Up Bar", there is Wol-joo, who comforts the weak and scolds those who misuse their powers over them. Like Hwang Jung-eum's statement that "Wol-joo says a lot of satisfying remarks" on behalf of the many 'weak', Wol-joo drops truth bombs. As Yook Sung-jae's wish for the drama to be 'healing' to many, Kang-bae allows people to pour their hearts out to him and receive counseling over drinks. Finally, Choi Won-young leaves an inspiring comment saying, "Don't expect the living world to be free of complications" and "There is a quiet reflection on human history at "Mystic Pop-Up Bar"".
