Directed by Kim Hong-joon, the movie portrays those living marginalized lives in the 1980s, a chaotic time because of turbulent politics in Korea.

The film revolves around Om-ji, female owner of a shabby comic book store, and its regular customers _ market merchants, gangs, an intellectual on run and prostitutes.

One night, they are all gathered and talk about their lives, and trouble-making hoodlum Tong-pal falls in love with the bookstore owner.
