Directed by Lee Jeong-cheol, the movie is a moving story of a father, his ex-convict daughter and her 10-year-old brother. Since the mother died six years previously, the father Ju-sok (Ju Hyeon) has made a living as a fishmonger. The daughter Jung-eun (Su-ae), ironically thinks that life in prison was more happy than at home. The story begins when Jung-eun returns home after three years of imprisonment for embezzlement. The father, however, does not and cannot greet her warmly, despite feeling somewhat relieved. The situation starts to deteriorate when a man named Chang-won visits the father pressing him for money still owed by his daughter. The father feels helpless in the face of the challenges he must overcome. His situation worsens when he discovers he is suffering from an incurable disease but he still does all he can to save the family from danger.
