Directed by Lee Jeong-cheol, this movie portrays the yearning among three members of a family composed of a father, an ex-convict daughter and her 10-year-old brother. Since the mother died six years previously, the father Ju-sok (Ju Hyeon) has made a living as a fishmonger. The daughter Jung-eun (Su-ae), ironically thinks that life in prison was more happy than at home. The story begins when Jung-eun returns home after three years of imprisonment for embezzlement. The father, however, does not and cannot greet her warmly, despite feeling somewhat relieved. The situation starts to deteriorate when a man named Chang-won visits the father. Chang-won presses Ju-sok for money still owed by his daughter. The father feels helpless in the face of the challenges he must overcome. Seoul Selection Bookstore will also show "S Diary", a story about a girl who finds three ex-boyfriends and claims payment for her love, at noon on Jan. 25. Tickets: 3,000 won. "Tonggapnaegi Kwawehagi (An Extra Class)", a romance between a slack student and his private teacher who are of the same age, will be screened along with "The Piano Playing President", a love story about a romantic president of South Korea and his daughter's teacher, and "Joint Security Area JSA", which tells of a friendship among South and North Korean soldiers serving along the demilitarized zone.
