[Lisa's Drama Bites] Idols Past and Present Tackle K-Dramas

There are so many faces new and old on the drama scene fleshing out casts after main lead additions or as stars in smaller dramas as they climb into the international field of Korean drama. Many of the faces are multi-talented individuals, branching out from their idol beginnings, so if you're a K-pop fan, you might recognize quite a few of them. I only have three bites for you today, but holy moly, are they cram-packed with tasty K-talent flavors. Let's get on to the sampling of the drama delicacies!

Bite #1 The "Let's Eat" Franchise is going strong! Along with the re-signing of Yoon Doo-joon and the addition of Baek Jin-hee, the next installment, "Let's Eat - Season 3", has now added Lee Joo-woo And An Woo-yeon. Lee Joo-woo is going to be Baek Jin-hee's sister, Lee Seo-yeon, an aegyo-loving woman who is searching for love. An Woo-yeon is a development team manager at a food company who doesn't fraternize with his colleagues. Check 'em all out in July! And of course, anticipate the delicious, delicious food shots. I'm already hungry...

Bite #2 "My ID is Gangnam Beauty", the remake of a popular webtoon, has recruited Min Dohee, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Bae Da-bin. Min Dohee will play hiphop star musician wannabe, Oh Hyeon-jeong, who is Mi-rae's (Im Soo-hyang's) fervent supporter despite her rough appearance. Kwak Dong-yeon is of the nerdier variety, a chemistry grad student and Do Kyeong-seok's (Cha Eun-woo's) roommate, Yeon Woo-yeong. Surprisingly, this man with very little in his wallet is also quite the ladies man. Bae Da-bin tackles Kwon Yoon-byeol, a young woman often mistaken for a man and who is, as a result, popular with the ladies. The three sound like a fun addition to the drama, although I'm also wishing that Min Dohee would nail a juicier part.

Bite #3 RAINZ member Kim Seongri is making his acting debut as Gong Jae-cheol in "Love is Not Like a Movie", a student and believer in love who will be dating SHA SHA's Seoyeon in the drama.
