[Lily's Take] Kim Dong-wan Pleads with Fans to Stop Visiting His Home

A member of the popular boy group "Shinhwa" and an actor Kim Dong-wan released his plead to the persistent fans who've been visiting his home and waiting for his attention right outside of his private property.

These fans are called 'Sasaeng fans'. These so-called fans are famous for their obsessive love towards their favorite star to the point of dangerous methods. Sasaeng fans will not respect the star's privacy and invade their personal life. Stalking is a serious crime, but these fans will not stop at any cost.

"Shinhwa" is one of the legendary 1^st generation boy groups in the K-pop world because of their popularity and because they are the longest lasting group with their 20 years of history without any changes in their members. Debuted in 1998, Kim Dong-wan's been loved as the member of "Shinhwa" as well as an actor. He has gotten used to the sasaeng fans in his career but lately, his sasaeng fans have been causing a lot of trouble for his neighbors and himself. To stop such damage, Kim Dong-wan pleaded the fans to stop their visits to his home through his agency, CI ENT. Below is the statement released:

"Greetings from CI ENT.

Recently, there's been a lot of both native and foreign fans visiting the home of our agency's artist, Kim Dong-wan.

Such action led from the love and care of the fans for the artist and we were understanding at first. However, there's been many complaints from the neighbors with the noise level and such.

Since the area is not a city, but a country side, it is dangerous for you to leave the food related trash on the street. Such action lead to attracting the wild boars to the town and it will be highly dangerous for the neighborhood as well.

We are more than grateful for your constant love and care you have for our artist. However, as stated above, there are concerns regarding safety issues and Kim Dong-wan is receiving the complaints first-hand from it. As the situations gets worsen, we are pleading for you to stop visiting Kim Dong-wan's home.

If we receive such complaints again, we will have to confirm the fans who continue to visit his home and ban those fans from attending the future events such as the fan meetings and open broadcasts of the artist.

We hope you continue to love Kim Dong-wan in his various activities this year.
