At the press conference of the new KBS 2TV drama "The Princess's Man" Lee Soon-jae said, "Idol singers attempt at acting without preparations".

He has once mentioned the unprepared idols acting in an interview. On this day he said, "That is not the essence of acting. You need to study and have the basics. You need to have the background of knowing how to speak and the ability to analyze a project". He also explained how top star Beyonce from "Dream Girls" had to go through auditions and prepare for 6 months losing weight and such for the role of Diana Ross.

Lee Soon-jae advised idols firmly but also complimented them on their skills. He said, "The sad thing is, idols have a good subject matter. They are good looking. I feel if they are trained well they can go for the long run and create something successful".

However, his strict advising continued. He said, "Idols get excited over external conditions and rise as an actor then be discouraged when they come back down. Being depressed is even cocky. How do you mean to survive in a group of society with that kind of attitude?"

He also pin pointed production of dramas. He said, "If an idol stars in a drama and it doesn't work out well, they wipe it out. That's because there is always a new idol. This is why acting is becoming a consumable".

He continued, "The reason why idols don't have time to prepare before they act is because of the drama climate. They are given the scripts just before the shoot so it's impossible to prepare".

"This is why idols think easy of acting. They rush through things and when they succeed, they think there's nothing to it". Junior actors of his, Hong Soo-hyun and Park Si-hoo nodded their heads in agreement to what he was saying.

Lee Soon-jae is Kim Jong-suh in the drama "The Princess' Man". He is the highest authority but falls unconscious after being hit with an iron mace by General Soo Yang.

Meanwhile, the Chosun version of "Romeo and Juliet", "The Princess' Man" draws the fateful romance of Kim Seung-yoo (Park Si-hoo) son of Kim Jong-suh and his father's enemy General Soo Yang's daughter Se-ryeong (Moon Chae-won). It will be broadcasted on the 20th of July after "Romance Town".
