Lee Jee-hoon's First Concert Takes Japan by Storm

Singer/actor Lee Jee-hoon has given his first solo concert in Japan at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo.

The standing-room-only concert entitled "Lee Jee-hoon's First Live in Tokyo" with the subheading "My Best Friend" was held twice -- on Mar. 25 at 7:00 p.m. and Mar. 26 at 3:00 p.m. At each performance, Lee sang a total of 17 songs, including songs from his five albums and a collection of Japanese songs.

Joining Lee were two special guest singers, Kangta and Shin Hye-sung, both members of the group S. They pleased the Japanese audience by singing in Japanese "I Swear", a song from his second album, and "Breath", an OST song from the film "April Snow" (2005).

He added to the enjoyment of the audience by mainly singing quiet ballads as well as quick-tempo rock songs. Lee received an ovation when he sang "Desperado", a song by "The Eagles", to his own piano accompaniment.

During the performances, he showed his proficiency in Japanese which he had cultivated to communicate with his Japanese fans. He successfully wrapped up his two-day concert by saying with emotion, "Thank you. Don't forget me".

All four thousand tickets to each performance of the "Lee Jee-hoon's First Live in Tokyo" concert were sold, testimony of his Japanese fans' keen interest in him.
