The findings come from a poll conducted by Job Korea of 1,082 salaried workers from July 3 to 9, which the recruitment portal compared to a similar one of 1,273 people in 2008.

Those working in big conglomerates had the longest working hours with nine hours and 40 minutes, followed by small or medium-sized companies (9.29 hours), public corporations (8.53 hours), and foreign firms (8.46 hours).

People in their 20s or 30s work longer hours than those in their 40s or 50s. By sector, those working in research and development had the longest working hours of 10 hours and 29 minutes.
