A love that is unfamiliar but sad.
Love is an empty space that can never be filled in

A changing world with changing people...
In this rapidly changing world, people are caught off guard by new events and have a hard time adapting to the times. Some types of taboo behavior are now acceptable and people even flaunt it. The confusion in social values has become an individual problem that people must grapple with by themselves.
One middle-aged couple faces a crisis as the foundation of their family crumbles.
When they reveal their true desires to each other, it takes on the form of a question to viewers on how important it is to reconnect with the values that are in disarray around us.

A melodramatic story and mystery...
A high-priced luxury apartment in the downtown area of Seoul. In this peaceful neighborhood, one young man committed suicide under uncertain circumstances.
Park Byeong-shik, a retired detective, discovers that the dead man is Lee Joon-soo, a fugitive he had been pursuing for years before he left the force. He picks up clues to solve the uncertain cause of his death.
The story begins with events that had happened six months before the man died.
Did Lee Joon-soo really kill himself? He had a lover named Hong Da-ae.
And somehow he was also linked to middle aged housewife named Yoon Hye-jin. But what exactly was their relationship? The drama traces events in the past and present to reveal the intricate web of story arcs.

More sophisticated and more luxurious...
The first episode was shot on location in Sapporo for three weeks to capture scenes of beautiful snow-capped mountains. The production quality of the show is very high as each scene was meticulously shot with great attention to small details and angle shots.
The drama contains the fun elements of a miniseries as well as highly charged moments. It will bring a fresh breath of air to viewers who are weary of the tried and true formula that they see over and over again.

A Rather Splendid But Underrated Drama! <3~ by ovette

h Yeon Soo, as always, brought great performance especially in the last two episodes. she cried like a million times in this drama. not to mention Lee Dong Wook, who played opposite her, showed another side of him. this series all the more proves his versatility as an actor. though it's very Adult Content, i can say, it didnt just focus on adultery, divorce and sex. the theme is rather dark and deep (disturbing at times). it's explains the consequences loneliness can bring to people and how the main characters fought against their fears and insecurities. this is why i consider this a great great drama.

spoilers ahead **
i think it's in a way a happy and sad ending... im still sad that Junsoo did die. i was hoping that he could have been saved but yeah from the height of the fall it's quite impossible. EP24 is definitely an intense episode. how JS and HJ spent their last night together, im happy that JS was able to let out the pain that's been killing him and HJ was beside him, to console him and to be his strength. i love how they found comfort in each other's embrace. when JS was pushing HJ away from him, im happy HJ didnt believe a word he said. that's how much they understood each other. HJ knew that Paris was just an excuse for committing suicide. they connect so much that it makes me believe they're destined, it was not mere coincidence.
JS and HJ, they both have deep wounds in their hearts. both of them have a fear of being abandoned and taken for granted. what gives them a reason to want to live is each other, it's the great LOVE they have. it totally broke my heart when JS kept saying he wanted to die and HJ was crying so much. when HJ's voice over says she thought she could change JS's mind, but nothing could stop him, nothing could change him, not even love. that was soooo sad. in the end, he kept his promise, he died before her. JS said that he wanted to live for her but there's a hundred of reasons why he had to die. i just wished that HJ was greater than those hundred reasons, then he wouldnt have to think of dying. i cant seem to accept how JS left HJ alone when she also needed him, she was also in pain. im so sad just thinking about it. another thing that broke my heart was when HJ said he wasnt dead yet since she's still living in her heart. im glad that after a year, HJ was able to move on.. though she had to face the world alone. the hand gesture is a sweet memory, it was a way for HJ and JS to connect even when they're apart. i think this is where the happy ending is, they're still together, JS will always be beside her, as long as she raises her hand to the air, she will see him. but HJ's last words were as long as she doesnt long for him, she wont see him. does that mean HJ is willing to forget him?
Junsoo is a character kind of hard to understand. there's a lot of things going on in his mind, that he wanted to break off from all of them. he continues to live by each day but in the end, the guilt still bothers him. because of this guilt, he doesnt accept HJ into his life. i dont understand why he doesnt have the confidence for this relationship when HJ said a lot of times that she's gonna give up everything for him and she doesnt care about his past. it's a pity that they didnt have a happy ending, well at least in the real world.
on the other hand, Hyejin is a character very easy to love. she's charming (and can act immature at times) but pitiful as well. i love how she's always calm and seldom raises her voice. she's so pure and delicate that's why most of the time i feel for her. it's hard to see her hurt and in pain. everytime she looks at Junsoo, her intent eyes were full of longingness. but then again, she kept that inside. it took a lot of courage for her to confess to Junsoo. she couldnt even make a call when she cooked something nice for him. but when she decided to really pursue this relationship, she begins to ask questions to Junsoo that made him mad. she was just dead worried though that was unlikely of her, since she always chose to be quiet, to just bear the pain inside. it was a big decision for her to risk all even her kids for Junsoo but he still preferred to die. i know he was undergoing a lot of problems himself, but still, he could have stuck with Hyejin till the end.

the drama is getting intense. I love LDW acting... from sweet charming SEOL Gong Chan to scary Lee Jin Soo. Very believable. At first I thought that he has a Bipolar disorder. Since flashbacks of his friend Sung -gu is not yet clear. I'm still in Epi it's under korean drama, and it's under the name "la dolce vita". there's only six episodes right now.
