Korean Projects at Hong Kong Financing Market

Four Korean projects will participate in the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) including the latest by a trio of internationally renowned directors: Park Chan-wook, Bong Joon-ho, and Im Sang-soo. HAF will be held March 17 to 19, 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

LIM's new project is a co-production to be shot in France and titled "A Woman in Paris". It revolves around a Korean female professor, her French boyfriend, and her various lovers. The film is to be produced by Carole SCOTTA and LEE In-ah of respective film companies Haut et Court and Greensky films.

BONG's project is tentatively titled Mother, and is about a mother and son. It will be produced by Choi Jae-won and SEO Woo-sik for Barunson Film Division. PARK's untitled film is about a priest-turned-vampire and has already received some attention after Korea's top star Song Kang-ho was cast. It is being produced by PARK and AHN Soo-hyeon for MOHO Films.

The fourth project is a fantasy with the working-title "Sharaku", about a mysterious wood-block printing master. Directed by PARK Tae-choon, it is a Japanese-Korean co-production. It is produced by KIM Seung-Beom, KIM Dong-gu, and ISEKI Satoru for Studio 2.0.
