Korean Movie 'Late Autumn' Coming to U.S. Screens

The Korean Wave, also know as Hallyu, has been making its way around the globe as Korean pop music, television dramas, and movies continues to connect with new audiences. The United States appears to be the next stop for many South Korean Hallyu stars.

The latest Korean movie to hit the U.S. scene on the Hallyu wave is "Late Autumn - 2010", staring Hyun Bin and Hong Kong superstar Wei Tang. The film made its debut in Seoul in February and is scheduled for limited U.S. release in June.

"Late Autumn - 2010" seems to be trying to appeal to new Hallyu audiences abroad with an ensemble cast hailing from Korea, China, the United States, and other countries, and filmed entirely in English and set in Seattle, Washington.

Based on a 1966 Korean movie of the same name, "Late Autumn - 2010" is about Hoon, played by Hyun Bin, and Anna, played by Wei Tang. Anna is on parole and happens to meet Hoon on a bus to Seattle. The two part ways and, by chance, find each other again in Seattle. Over the course of two days, before Anna must return to jail, the two fall in love, yet still have many obstacles to overcome. Will their love survive?

Cities hosting "Late Autumn - 2010"'s U.S. premiere include Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, New York, Atlanta, and others in New Jersey. Those lucky enough to be near one of these locations, shouldn't miss the chance to see "Late Autumn - 2010"'s U.S. debut!
