Korean 3-D animated film airing in Japan

"Porong Porong Pororo", a popular Korean three-dimensional animated film, began airing in Japan last week.

According to Iconix Entertainment, the producer of "Pororo", the animation has been shown on Fuji TV's children's show "Ponkiki Kids" from Friday.

"Ponkiki Kids" is a program designed for preschoolers, and the 52 episodes of "Pororo" will be broadcast as an animated segment on the program every Friday.

The animation, first aired on EBS TV in January 2003, has won fame as the most popular animation. In the following year, it was chosen as the "Program of the Year" by the Korean chapter of the YMCA.
