Korean actress Kim Yunjin Received an unexpected present for her 34th birthday as she was the top selection in the 'Born Today' section of the popular Internet Movie Database (IMDB) on November 7. It led to KIM being the most searched name on IMDB that day, outranking the big names of Hollywood.
KIM became a star in the US through the television series Lost, and is also back in the spotlight in Korea with her new film "Seven Days". The thriller came in ninth at last weekend's box office, but the film is officially released later on November 14. The return of KIM has been widely covered in Korean media.
"Seven Days" is directed by Won Shin-yun and he was full of praise of his star's personality and work ethics. KIM plays a top lawyer who is faced with the kidnapping of her daughter. The kidnapper gives her the ultimatum to clear a murder suspect in seven days if she wants to save her daughter's life.
"Seven Days" will be remade in Hollywood by the studio Summit Entertainment.
