KIM Ki-duk's Breath pre-sold to 10 countries

"Breath", the fourteenth film by well-known Korean director Kim Ki-duk, has been sold to 10 foreign territories even before the completion of the film.

According to international sales company Cineclick Asia, the film earned strong interest from buyers at the recent European Film Market, held concurrently with the Berlin International Film Festival. Pre-sales contracts signed at Berlin include deals with Spain, Brazil, and the former Soviet republics.

Meanwhile, the film had already notched pre-sales for seven other territories including Italy, Mexico, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Israel, and Turkey.

Breath tells the story of a married woman who falls in love with a convict sentenced to death. The film stars Park Ji-ah as the woman, rising star Ha Jung-woo ("Time", "Never Forever") as her husband, and Taiwanese actor Chang Chen ("Three Times") as the convict.
