His management Key East revealed on the 4th, "We have signed contracts with Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan for an estimated 11.8 billion won" (~US$11 million).

This is an achievement made just with the news of Kim Hyun-joong's appearance in the drama without any filming.

Previously Kim Hyun-joon's 2010 MBC drama "Naughty Kiss" sold in over 11 countries all over Asia including Thailand, the Philippines and others, setting a record of highest bid Korean drama yet.

"City Conquest" is about Baek Mir who resented his father for abandoning his mother and himself, taking revenge on society that caused his family to be destroyed.

Kim Hyun-joong takes on the role of Baek Mir who led a rough life going through everything but is a pure hearted human being in front of love. The first filming starts in July once the locations have been set.

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-joong is currently carrying out his fan meeting tour in 4 different Chinese cities.
